Executive Summary
At eclimática, we are dedicated to driving innovative industrial solutions that create a positive impact on businesses, the environment, and society.
In collaboration with Worms Argentina - Worms - and Polaris Network, we have developed a pioneering project for verified carbon credits - VCC - from the transformation of non-hazardous agro-industrial waste into high-quality biocompost, using nature-based solutions - vermiculture - while also contributing to the circular economy and sustainable development.
With over 20 years of experience, Worms is a well-established operator and leader in industrial environmental management in Argentina, promoting waste treatment through vermiculture. This biological process, which uses worms to decompose organic matter, offers an ecological alternative to traditional composting, preventing methane emissions and reducing the need for mechanical aeration. Furthermore, Worms formalises local workers' employment, and through its efforts, collaborates with the National Plan for the Eradication of Open-Air Dumps in Argentina.
Verified Carbon Credits: An Added Value for Your Company
Our project generates high integrity carbon credits, verified under the UN CDM AMS.III.F methodology and registered in BioCarbon Registry These credits represent a real and quantifiable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, providing your company with an effective tool to achieve its carbon neutrality goals and strengthen its ESG profile while financing the consolidation of the project.
- Process: Vermiculture (worm composting) prevents methane emissions in landfills and reduces the need for mechanical aeration.
- Certification: Validated under UN CDM AMS.III.F (v12.0) to prevent methane emissions, verified by ANCE.
As of May 2025, we have 59,574 verified tCO2e available for immediate purchase.
- Phase 1: period 2019-2020 22,577 tCO2e
- Fase 2 periodo 2021-2023. 36.997 tCO2e - en desarrollo para ITMOs
- Fase 3 periodo 2023-2028 se proyectan 63.740 tCO2 para desarrollo para ITMOs
Premium Quality Biocompost with Positive Environmental and Social Impact
The treatment of waste through vermiculture processes generates high-value biocompost for agriculture, landscaping, and the restoration of degraded soils. This product, marketed by Worms Argentina S.A., represents its source of income and an example of circular economy in action. The carbon credits you acquire will facilitate the sustainability of the project.
In addition, you will help to reduce the waste crisis in Argentina, where there are more than 5,000 open-air landfills, diverting organic waste from these landfills to reduce soil and water pollution, and improve the quality of life for local communities.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The SDGs incorporated in this project with Worms Argentina S.A.

SDG 9
Build resilient infrastructures, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation, and foster innovation. WORMS supports local employment by backing indicator 9.2.2. 40% of local green jobs, with a target of 63% locally, with sustainable industrialisation. Donations of compost to schools/municipalities; road maintenance agreements.
SDG 11
To ensure that cities and human settlements are inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable by supporting indicator 11.6, preventing more than 75,000 tonnes and 160,000 estimated in the following from ending up in one of the more than 5,000 illegal open-air landfills, collaborating with the Plan Federal de Erradicación de Basurales a Cielo Abierto.
SDG 12
Responsible consumption and production. Giving a second life to municipal waste and transforming it into biocompost, supporting indicator 12.5.1, through recovery and commitment to the Argentine circular economy, valuing 100% of waste.
SDG 13
Climate action. It contributes to indicator 13.2.2 by reducing the methane emissions that would be released by waste in a landfill: in the first period, over 59,000 tons CO2e and more than 63,000 in the subsequent periods. Furthermore, by supporting the activities of WORMS, it also lays the groundwork for growth in their activities and a greater reduction in emissions.
